Kristine worked patiently with us to create the perfect design for this beautiful silk scarf.  The design is drawn onto each scarf, then painted with the 10 colors, dried, steamed, cooled down, and then finally hand washed and hung to dry.  The Arts and Crafts Movement is all about individual art and doing hand work, so we love that this scarf really embodies that process.

Price: $90.00

The Bookstore is happy to be carrying this exclusive design by Susan Hebert of Cobre. The lapel pin and pendant are intricately cut-out to resemble the famous Gamble House door and are both in sterling silver.

From the back cover:

"In the Greene & Greene Style is an invaluable sourcebook for any woodworker who wants to master the Greene & Greene design idiom and make it his or her own. Based on the author Darrell Peart's unique knowledge of the Greenes' original work, In the Greene & Greene Style presents easy-to-use instructions for creating authentic Greene & Greene details such as ebony splines, block & dowel pulls, fingers, and waterfall legs."
Price: $24.95

From the back cover:

"With a birthday in January, Clarence James Gamble was just fourteen years old in March of 1908, when he, his seventeen-year-old brother, Sidney, and his parents, David and Mary Gamble, left Cincinnati, Ohio, for a lengthy tour of the Orient that included ten weeks in Japan. Once there, Clarence and Sidney took many, many photos, a hundred and twenty of which have been left to posterity. Here is a glimpse into a Japan long lost, as seen by the travelling Gambles in 1908."
