Handpainted watercolor on silk by Kristine Baker.  Exclusive design based on The Gamble House living room rug.  Two sizes available.

12x60" Without Fringe $70.00
14x72" With Fringe $85.00

Kristine worked patiently with us to create the perfect design for this beautiful silk scarf.  The design is drawn onto each scarf, then painted with the 10 colors, dried, steamed, cooled down, and then finally hand washed and hung to dry.  The Arts and Crafts Movement is all about individual art and doing hand work, so we love that this scarf really embodies that process.

Featuring eleven new essays from Greene scholars such as Alan Crawford, Ann Scheid, Julie L. Sloan, and Bruce Smith.

"This elegant book is the first in-depth survey of the decorative arts of Greene and Greene...Greene  scholars provide insight into why the brothers' work was so successful, and why, after their creative skills were overlooked for decades, their designs still resonate today.  Superbly illustrated throughout with photographs of original interiors and exteriors, as well as preciously unpublished archival drawings and plans, A New and Native Beauty is a fitting tribute to the exquisite craftsmanship of these celebrated California architects. - From the flap inside the hardcover edition.
